The hotel is situated in 10 minutes’ walk from the metro station “Vasileostrovskaya” and “Sportivnaya”.
Coming closer to the Spit of The Basil Island you’ll see the Stock Exchange and the gigantic Rostral columns, at the feet of which colossal sculptures, symbolizing Russian rivers – Volga, Dnepr, Neva and Volkhov are placed.
The Spit of the Basil Island has a wonderful view on the Dvortzovy (Palace) Bridge and the Hermitage, the great ensemble of the Admiralty with a small ship on its golden spire, which has become the symbol of the city. Moving along the Universitetskaya Naberezhnaya (University Embankment) of the Neva river you’ll see the wonderful Menshikov Palace and the Academy of Arts. On the opposite bank of the Neva river you’ll see the Bronze Horseman, which Catherine II dedicated to Peter I, the founder of the city; the former Senate and Synod; the grand St.Isaac’s Cathedral, constructed in the very beginning of the city’s existence. According to the church calendar Peter the Great was born on the St.Isaac Dalmatsky’s day (May, 30th).
For those who would like to relax there are lots of restaurants, cafés, night clubs and a cinema nearby.
